Education Sector

With the increase in education spending through PFI/PPP and "Schools for the Future" programmes, Barr is ideally placed to use its skills gained in other public sectors and apply them to the construction of schools and related buildings. Our Schools Unit is also developing relationships in the burgeoning University and College sector.

The Education Unit has been responsible for the completion of a dozen schools projects during the last two years, with a similar number of schemes currently on site.

The projects have ranged from new-build joint campus developments to refurbishment and extension projects with procurement methods including traditional, design & build and PPP.

High quality educational delivery is fundamental to the country's future; Barr is proud to have assisted in the provision of an enabling infrastructure for staff and pupils alike.
