The Safety Drive

Last night the Barr convoy made its way to Aberdeen and then along to Westhill this morning. The weather held today and we managed to have sunshine all day making Shaun Gabriel of Speedy Hire very happy as he was outside the bus all day demonstrating the low-level access equipment. Jim Reid of Bacou-Dalloz joined us today and again highlighted the need for further harness training.

Billy Auld took his usual place at the top of the bus, and judging by the laughter from upstairs, put on a good show with the lads and increased the awareness of using the correct glove for the job.

The bus was well received on site and was visited by 100 site operatives who went away with handfuls of goodies.

The competition winners for today were:

• 1st Prize - William Percival of EIC
• 2nd Prize - Russell Smith of EIC
• 3rd Prize - Derek Shannon of RSB McConnachie
