Blue Group is a specialist provider of material processing and handling equipment into the Quarrying & Demolition, Recycling, Scrap, Ports and Energy segments, throughout the UK and Ireland.

On the 3^rd of February, several members of Barr Environmental Limited staff attended a familiarisation training day that was kindly provided by one of Barr’s main machinery providers Blue Machinery (Scotland) Limited, at their base in Stirling.

Blue Group are extremely important to Barr Environmental Limited as they provide the key plant items for the sorting and segregation of recyclable materials. Barr Environmental Limited currently have five pieces of machinery provided by Blue Group which are Doppstadt SM 620K Plus Trommel, 2x Doppstadt DW 3060K Shredder and 2x Fuchs MHL 320F material handlers.

Blue Machinery (Scotland) Limited provide an excellent after care service, ensuring that their customers and staff are aware of all the functions of the equipment and how it is operated. This took the format of a full day training course where Blue Group provided Barr staff with a presentation followed by an interactive workshop. Barr staff had the opportunity to learn about the equipment’s capabilities, ways to ensure operator safety, methods to ensure optimum efficiency whilst using heavy plant equipment and to ask any questions.
