Biomass, solid recovered fuel and refuse-derived fuel are particularly useful as they can be used at a suitable energy-from-waste facility (e.g. gasification plant) due to their high calorific value.
Such is our commitment to sustainability; Barr is investing significant time and resources into developing a new energy recovery park based at our Killoch site.
This park will process RDF and convert it into electricity powering a variety of onsite applications as well as connecting to the National Grid.
